What an exciting week it has been at PV. There has been a lot of learning for both myself and the kids at PV. I started this week observing in the classroom and then was assigned to teach EVS to the first and second standard students. Creating fun interactive lesson plans for the kids and then implementing them in the classroom was a challenge, but also very rewarding when I saw that the kids were participating in the lessons and also understanding the material.
A moment that stood out to me this week was on November 1st, Karnataka Rajyotsava. This was the day when all the Kannada language speaking regions in South India were merged to form the state Karnataka. All the students and teachers came dressed up in traditional outfits and celebrated the holiday together during morning assembly. It was evident that everyone at school are very proud of their state and love celebrating this day. The songs they sang and dances they performed were wonderful to watch. Their smiles were contagious. It was a very special event to be apart of and one I will remember for years to come.
Looking forward to see what next week brings!
